Best Buy Mobile Picks Hothand to Market on Campuses
Best Buy Mobile announced a new deal with Hothand Wireless, the college communication portal, to launch a mobile marketing pilot program at UCLA.
Best Buy Mobile will sponsor the program and receive widespread exposure through Hothand's platform, the company said in a statement, with the intention of nabbing students with "Hot Deals" on cell phones, upgrades, activations, data plans, and accessories.
Hothand aims to provide content and special offers to consumers through a "free non-intrusive mobile web application and opt-in text messaging," while the company's University Mobile Network focuses these offerings on the college market.
